Education & Training

Training and practical mentoring for entrepreneurs, innovators, companies and universities. Learn how to translate scientific knowledge into industrial applications, assess readiness for scale-up and develop credible pathways to technology transfer or venture creation.

Industrial Translation, Scale Readiness and Deep-Tech Entrepreneurship Programme

BERBETIN combines taught modules, workshops and project mentoring, adapted to your audience, curriculum and learning goals.

Who it is for

Entrepreneurs and founders; innovators and corporate R&D teams; universities and research centres; technology-transfer professionals; incubators, accelerators and innovation networks. The programme can be adapted to university curricula, master's and doctoral training, continuing education and company development programmes.

Three connected learning blocks

1. Connect technology with industrial needs

Identify a useful application, the people who will adopt it and the evidence they need. Translate research results into requirements for performance, integration, reliability and customer value.

2. Build Scale Readiness

Examine what changes between a laboratory result, a pilot and a usable technology. Connect reproducibility, process windows, yield, throughput, cost and qualification with the next validation milestone.

3. Develop exploitation and venture pathways

Compare industrial collaboration, licensing, technology transfer and venture creation. Explore business models, intellectual-property considerations, partner capabilities and funding stages in relation to the evidence and resources each route requires.

Apply the learning to a real decision

Depending on the agreed format, participants develop an application brief, an evidence-gap map, a validation plan and an Industrial Translation Roadmap. The objective is to justify the next development step, whether that leads to a partnership, transfer, deployment or a new business.

Formats shaped around your organisation

Workshops, curriculum modules, multi-block learning programmes and project mentoring can be combined around the audience, technology maturity and learning goals. Doctoral networks, including MSCA, are one possible setting. Scope, duration and delivery arrangements are agreed for each engagement.

The BERBETIN perspective

Led by Dr Verónica Bermúdez Benito, the programme draws on experience across research, technology transfer, manufacturing and deployment. BERBETIN's Scale Readiness approach connects scientific judgement with the practical requirements of industrial partners, users and investors. Cases and project discussions use information cleared for the agreed learning setting.
